WHAT A WEEK (and a half)! Starting on Friday, October 19th, I have gone nonstop. We had 18 mini sessionS! EIGHTEEN! I still have five mini session galleries left to wrap up. I had two senior sessions on Sunday. I started coaching cheerleading, so tryouts were Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday was dedicated to preparing for Halloween parties on Thursday. I also had ANOTHER senior session that afternoon. Noah and I took the girls to Hawks Nest Friday night as a straight A reward but also because I had a family session at Babcock the next day. We took those pics Saturday, October 27th. My absolutely fabulous sister in law (Marylea) and her family joined us and helped, and then took my kids for the evening while Noah and I joined some friends to try our hand at an escape room (which we escaped!). Sunday was a regular church day and my uncle‘s 50th birthday. I spent literally 6 hours editing pictures on Monday. I baby-sit my neice every Tuesday, so I got what I could get edited today (which wasn’t much) before taking my kids trick-or-treating. Tomorrow is a newborn shoot and a first birthday shoot, and then Thursday I will be taking Senior pics of 12 football players and their mommas. This weekend we are doing a senior road trip for some pics as well.....shewwwww...I am exhausted just typing all that!
There are are not enough hours in the day, and there are not enough days in the week, but I am still so grateful. I was able to earn enough money these past two weeks to be able to INVEST IN MYSELF! When starting a new business, you really can’t account for every single thing that goes into the actual start up cost. I started a business with a 6-year-old basic DSLR and one really fab lens that I love. Again, if I want to be taken seriously I must first take myself seriously...I seriously needed an upgrade. I earned enough money to warrant that upgrade, and I could not be more excited! I shot my first shoot with my new camera this past Saturday in Babcock, of all places, and I literally giggled after each picture. Tomorrow i shoot my first inside session with my new lights as well. I feel so blessed that through sincere and diligent prayer, He leads me in the right direction. He never fails me.
I am nothing. NOTHING. Everything I am able to do is because He allows it to be so. I am very serious in my prayers for the organization of my life. I need your prayers for that as well. I have to learn the balance of home , family, and work, and to know when it’s time to just be with my family and just say no to some things if it interferes with my family time. I have a lot of irons in the fire and I’m struggling to keep it all going. I am placing all my faith in the Lord, and as my pastor Reggie reminded me: “be still..”
